Katrina and Alex bought Peppergrass farm in October of 2022 from Debbie and Bob Place opening Heartwood Equestrian Center or otherwise now known as HEC. Their goal is to continue the traditions of the Peppergrass by providing to offer educational opportunities in both Eventing and Dressage. Katrina and Alex met way back and spent entirely too much time together at horse farms. Apparently that isn’t going to change. Katrina runs her equine veterinary practice, Heartwood Equine Veterinary Services, by day and rides her horse Klassik by night. Alex prefers running equipment around the farm but works for a management company by day. They have two dogs who you may see occasionally roaming around the farm, one goes by Rogue, both in nature and by name, and the other is Burch.
